About The Trainer:The NCA training team consists of James and Amber Arnold (lead trainers/behavioral specialists), Katelyn Arnold (training apprentice) and Raymond Thomas (training apprentice). James and Amber also own Mississippi K-9 (www.mississippicanine.com) which is located in Lumberton, Mississippi. Despite both also having unrelated college degrees/certifications, James and Amber have both completed Canine Psychology, Emotion and Cognition studies at Duke University. Both are Professional Members of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers and strive to always complete continued learning programs/seminars. Between the two, James and Amber have successfully trained and rehabilitated hundreds of dogs and are well-versed in handling every problematic behavior possible. NCA is is U.S.M.C. Veteran Owned and Operated!
NCA facilities: All boarded training programs are completed in the comfort of the Arnold Estate, Honor Hill. NCA is located on a secluded horse farm (67 acres), with three ponds and plenty of distractions to proof with. The home dogs stay in is just over 10,000 square feet, so there is plenty of room to roam, play and work. This is not a typical training "facility" as the staff lives on-site with the dogs and train around the clock. No shutting the lights off at 5pm and leaving dogs in cold concrete kennels! Our in-home boarded training is the most realistic training experience you will find for your "pet". In this environment, we are able to use our average, every-day family life to teach skills, goals and manners that will then transition back to the owner's home. NCA philosophies: Our training philosophy is simple - we train dogs, we educate people. We pride ourselves on listening to our clients, caring about their needs and treating their dogs as if they are our own. We use a mixture of operant and classical conditioning. No two dogs are the same, therefore training techniques must be adaptive versus straight by the book. What works for one may not work for another. Our goal is to create a respectful, loving relationship between you and your canine companion. We truly love what we do and look forward to work with your dog and family! |
